We're engaging churches in new ways of thinking about animals and Christian faith, with a special focus on farmed animal welfare. Here are some of the ways your financial partnership makes a difference.

CREATUREKIND HELPS INSTITUTIONS CHANGE FOOD POLICIES AND PRACTICES

CreatureKind is changing community eco-systems to guide Christians into more humane, sustainable choices for generations to come. CreatureKind Partner and Affiliate Communities work with CreatureKind to raise awareness, improve food practices, and change institutional policies to benefit the whole of God’s creation. One of our partner communities is Friends House, in London, who have committed to reducing animal products on their menus by 20% over two years and who will launch a completely plant-based bistro as part of their commitment to being CreatureKind.

CREATUREKIND PROMOTES ANIMAL WELFARE CONVERSATIONS IN CHURCH GROUPS

“I was really glad to be able to consider a lot of areas of scripture that I hadn't thought about before. I found learning about the environmental cost and the way animals are treated on these farms to be very persuasive, in combination of a better understanding of how Christians should think about caring for other creatures and the earth,” said one participant. Post-course surveys show that in addition to thinking differently about animals, participants commit to changing their daily dietary choices, as well.

CREATUREKIND STRENGTHENS THE CHURCH through leadership development and advocate support

CreatureKind provides Christian animal advocates with the resources, training, hope they need to remain rooted in their local congregations. “CreatureKind gave me a perfect way to share my love of, and concern for, farm animals with others in the congregation...CreatureKind and your continued help have given me courage to discuss my beliefs with others in the church. I pray that it has planted a seed, which with continued tending will bear fruit. As the sole vegan in church, having your support has been invaluable.” Amy, Indiana
